TSA-IL Youth Ambassador search 2010

Active Image

The TSA Youth Ambassador leadership training will be held April 13-15th in the Washinton DC area.

TSA-IL is looking for for teens, with or without TS, ages 13-19 who are interested in becomming a youth ambassador and would be committed to taking on the responsibilities of one.  The role of youth ambassador and the leadership training is very important as it gives young people the the tools to effectively to speak before their peers, at schools and other youth programs about TS.

2009 Youth Ambassador accomplishments -
The 2009 Youth Ambassador, Ariel Small, accomplished so much over the course of 2009.  We at TSA-IL are very proud of all he has done to raise awareness and educate others on TS!  Some of the many things Ariel did in 2009 (and it's not over yet!) are given several in-service presentations at schools, presented at the 2009 TSA-IL charity golf outing, contributed to the TSA-IL newsletter, was featured in newspaper articles about TS in the Chicago Parent magazine as well as the Chicago Tribune Health Beat section and reached out to support several teens who have been struggling with TS.  Great Job Ariel!
We are confident that the 2010 TSA-IL youth ambassador will follow in Ariel's footsteps!

If you know of a teen that would be a inspirational youth ambassador please submit the attached application to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it no later than December 1st, 2009.  All applicants will then be reviewed by the TSA-IL board members and those chosen will then be recommended to the national office for approval.
